Today! Was spent with James walking around Leeds browsing the art museum and walking around the posh stores like Harvey Nic’s. Then we stopped at a chip shop to get battered mars bars = artery-clogging deliciousness. Seriously, I have to find out where to get one in London because they are to die for. Some of the sights of sunny Leeds:
The town hall.
The markets and shops.
When we ran out of things to look at, we headed back to his apartment to pick up Jeff before heading to Harrogate, where apparently all the rich people live. Driving along the Yorkshire countryside was unbelievable beautiful, but I never got to take pictures because I was with them and its sooo awkward being a tourist. We walked around Harrogate and stuff and saw the local park…
…and eventually stopped in Bettys for some more delicious and extremely unhealthy eating. I got Hot Chocolate and a Swiss Chocolate and Raspberry Torte (moist chocolate cake filled with lightly caramelised raspberries and rich chocolate and raspberry buttercream). Can you say ‘decadent’?
James was seriously the death of me in terms of food. The hot chocolate went down easy but he had to finish my cake because I did not think my stomach would have survived it.
His car is tiny and awesome! You can’t see but his license plate spells out ‘DR51UMS.’
Driving back to Leeds was also fun and we got to see a lot of the expensive houses and James’s fast driving skills. Back at home, we spent the majority of the time listening to music and I got some pretty good recs from him that I need to download/buy asap. I also learned some new slang (botch, hooky, shoddy work, naff band). Tonight, we’re going to try to get into a nice Thai food place and then go out for drinks before who knows what. Hardly ANY pictures so far because I am awkward) More later ❤
I don’t even know how I ended up here, but I thought this post
was great. I do not know who you are but certainly you’re going to a famous blogger if you are not already 😉 Cheers!
